Bacchus House ( Collingwood )
Bacchus House is situated on Hume Street, we are less than a five minute walk to downtown Collingwood, where you will find boutique shops and many restaurants and bars and approximately a 15 minute drive to Blue Mountain.
Bacchus House was built in approximately 1880; Annette and Andy Lee purchased the property in June 2005. Since then they have both worked together in renovating the property to a very high standard providing guests with the charm of a Victorian residence with all the modern amenities you would expect in a small luxury inn.
On the ground floor Andy designed a “Gourmet Kitchen” with a centre isle affording seating for four, allowing interactive participation of culinary demonstrations as well as watching the Chef Patron prepare one of your dishes from the evening’s menu.
Adjacent to the new kitchen is an “Executive Boardroom” which opens out to full view of the kitchen. The Executive Boardroom can accommodate 6-10 guests for a meeting, culinary class, wine seminar, and training or to host a special event.
Bacchus dining room can seat 2-10 guests and is where breakfast is served between 7.30am – 9am.
We have two lounges areas where you can relax and enjoy morning coffee and read the daily newspaper or perhaps a nightcap before retiring to the comfort of your room.
In December 2010 will see the completion of the “Spirit of the Vine Spa” situated in the lower level. The spa will consist of two fully functional treatment rooms offering full Spa services.
In June 2010 saw the edition of a new deck with outside hot tub, with seating capacity up to 12 guests featuring, fire pit and BBQ station.
