Wee Butt n Ben ( Lakefield )
Enjoy some Scottish Bed and Breakfast hospitality while you explore Lakefield and the Kawartha Lakes district. Wee Butt 'n' Ben's spacious grounds are conveniently located in the village, a short walk from the Otonabee River and Lake Katchewanooka.
Take a stroll along the Otonabee, the Trent-Severn Waterway link between Lake Katchewanooka and Rice Lake. If you're headed for the shopping district, first you'll cross the navigation channel, then the main river; finally the hydro station race. Unless, of course, you decide to turn off onto one of several side trails, which lead you the onto the dam itself or the Lakefield Trail, which winds along the river to the Lakefield Marsh..
The Marsh is a 'Provincially Significant Wetland', and you may see Ospreys hunting, turtles basking, or a huge assortment of other wildlife.
