You can canoe from our own riverfront as well as hike or drive up to the nearby Eagles Nest to enjoy a fine panoramic view of the famous Canadian Shield - especially beautiful during the fall (autumn) color season.

In the winter, cross-country ski at nearby Silent Lake or snowmobile many hundreds of kilometers of trails. Both snowmobiles in winter and all terrain vehicles (ATV) in summer have easy access from the heritage trail by crossing the new recreational bridge over the York River.
